The city
City on a human measure
Walking through the historic center of Vic is walking through the past and the history of our country. A signposted route allows you to see thirty buildings, all of historical, architectural or artistic interest, among which the Roman Temple of the s. II; the walls of the s. XIV; the cathedral, where the Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque and Neoclassical styles come together; Plaça del Mercadal and the town hall…
Once immersed in this route, the visitor can access the city’s museums and art galleries. The Museum of Medieval Art in Vic is the main exponent, with one of the best collections of Romanesque and Gothic art in Europe. Mention should be made of the permanent pictorial exhibition of Josep Maria Sert’s paintings, distributed in different areas of the city.
